Help me please.

 I am new to this platform and I don't much care for it to be honest, in the layout area it has a slider for the background image to scroll, but it doesn't seem to work, the image still tiles, if anyone can help me that would be lovely. In the interim please bear with me while I try to navigate this technopolis. any help would be greatly appreciated.
